I’ve been seeing a lot of bitter tweets about Phillip Phillips winning American Idol and I just can’t stop myself posting about it here. Not because I’m a fan of Phil but because I hate how all of you are reacting. Over-reacting to be exact.“Americans only vote for their own kind.”

Why the flying fuck are you guys so bitter? Is it because your kababayan didn’t win? Is it because you ILEGALLY voted for her? Or is it because of your Filipino pride? For the love of god, stop saying he’s just a white man with a guitar! Why do you even call him white? Aren’t you guys the one being racist and not American Idol? You are clearly being narrow minded.Jessica Sanchez wholeheartedly accepted the fact she wasn’t hailed as American Idol. She never questioned the outcome of the competition. Why can’t you do the same? If you really believe in Jessica’s talent (and not just because she’s a Filipino), then you should not hate her opponent. Believing in her means believing that even if didn’t get the American Idol trophy, she still has a great music career ahead of her.
Stop being bitter, Filipinos. She doesn’t even consider our country her home.
I’m sorry but the truth hurts. You can all forget about your Filipino pride now.
